RESPONSIBILITIES AND EXPECTATIONS

• Technical support, consulting and troubleshooting at client sites and administering the company’s own
  Xserve network. Duties include installation, setup and maintenance of Macintosh OS X Servers &
  clients, storage and network design
• Sales responsibilities related to service contracts, billing of service hours, and recommendations
  regarding hardware/software upgrades
• Paperwork and administration related to the above including creation of client records, service request
  orders, invoices for service and related products

QUALIFICATIONS

• Apple Certified Technical Coordinator (ACTC) or equivalent real world experience
• Current knowledge of Mac OSX Server and client is essential
• TCP/IP knowledge, network topology and design, VPN’s and switching
• PC, Linux and Unix experience is considered an asset
• Familiarity of Office/DTP/iApps
• Excellent problem solving abilities

RESPONSIBILITIES AND EXPECTATIONS

• Hardware, software and solution based corporate sales - face to face, over the phone, and online.
• Assist in pre-sales configuration in conjunction with a highly trained technical force both in office and at on-site meetings with clients.
• Assist in the sales, organization and implementation of classes held at Carbon and Picture.
• Assist in the preparation and implementation of seminars held by Carbon Sound and Picture.
• Perform sales administration work for Carbon Sound and Picture team as necessary.
• Stay current and knowledgeable in Digital Video solutions; Standard and High Definition workflows.
• Build hands on knowledge of hardware and software solutions for same.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Operating systems: Apple OSX, Windows XP and higher - Linux is an asset
• Software: Apple Final Cut Studio, Avid Xpress Pro (Mac and Windows), Adobe After Effects, related video edit plug ins and 3D software
• Hardware: Apple desktops and portables, Xserve, AJA, Black Magic, AV cabling solutions and networking
• Storage Systems: Xserve RAID, Edit Share, custom built RAID solutions and SANs
• Video specific hardware: Broadcast Decks & Switches, reference generators, audio and and video monitoring systems

Service Hardware Technician (Experienced)

We require an experienced Service Hardware Technician. You will troubleshoot Apple hardware & software problems and provide proper solutions in a timely manner in accordance with the company's and Apple guidelines. This will involve repairing and replacing hardware components with appropriate parts and / or solving OSX and other software conflicts.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND EXPECTATIONS

• Computer service, consulting and troubleshooting at both depot and client sites including but not limited to: diagnosis/repair; hardware replacement/repair, computer and network setup and/or installations focusing on all Apple computer products and related hardware/software and the current Macintosh OS
• Telephone and face-to-face support and response to client inquiries and client communication regarding status of equipment
• Sales responsibilities insomuch as they relate to service contracts, billing of service hours; and recommendations regarding hardware & software upgrades
• Paperwork and administration related to the above including creation of client records, Create, track and close repairs in GSX (Global Service Exchange), create invoices for service and related products and filing of same.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Apple desktop/portable and OS or ACTC certifications required
• 4 - 6 years of experience with Apple products and in-depth Knowledge of Mac OS X (and earlier) essential
