Newly updated for 2009! Built for mobile users, artists, students and professionals, the Axiotron Modbook enables its user to draw and write directly on the screen. The Axiotron Modbook comes standard with a built-in camera, an integrated DVD burner and a built-in Global Positioning System (GPS). What's New in the Modbook Improved Compatibility • Better system performance: With its redesigned Axiotron hardware controller board, the Modbook offers improved performance, a quicker boot time for the Axiotron system software and smoother integration with the operating system. • Improved power usage: Get longer battery life with the more efficient Axiotron hardware controller board, including significantly less power drain in sleep mode. • Full Bluetooth connectivity: Pair a keyboard or mouse for even more control. Lightweight and Scratch-Resistant Coating Axiotron's QuadCoat™ process — adapted from auto industry techniques — helps protect the Modbook's sturdy-yet-lightweight magnesium top shell while lowering the Modbook's weight. With the new liquid metallic coating process and other changes the weight of the highly portable Modbook decreases to 5.3 pounds. Enhanced Functionality • Improved display characteristics and drawing surface: Axiotron's new proprietary bonding process decreases the gap between the AnyView™ LCD panel and ForceGlass™ screen cover. Result: better contrast ratio (especially outdoors), firmer drawing surface and reduced pen-to-cursor parallax. • Better pen tablet performance: Specially designed internal Mu-metal® shielding, in addition to existing shielding, boosts pen tablet responsiveness by greatly decreasing the potential for interference from electronic noise sources. New Pre-Installed Software Autodesk® SketchBook® Express 2009, an industry leading sketching and drawing application, is now exclusively available on the Modbook as part of its standard software package. Axiotron plans additional software enhancements for all Modbook users in early 2009. Improved Serviceability The Modbook’s new bonding process, as well as other refined assembly procedures, have been designed to optimize field serviceability by the recently expanded Axiotron Authorized Service Provider network who can provide servicing and repair at convenient locations across the U.S. and Canada. Modcare Warranty Transforming your Apple MacBook into an Axiotron Modbook, will void the original Apple warranty. Instead, all Axiotron Modbook solutions come complete with an Axiotron one (1) year limited manufacturer warranty covering: the Axiotron Modbook conversion kit, parts and labor for one full year from the date of the Modbook or Modservice original purchase, and the modified Apple MacBook, parts and labor, while under the original Apple factory or Apple extended warranty, for up to a maximum of one full year from the date of the Modbook or Modservice purchase. We can convert most non-aluminum Apple MacBook computers into an Axiotron Modbook.* The complete list of base systems supported for Modservice conversion is available here. How does Axiotron Modservice Work? It’s simple: Send an order request here via email. You’ll need your Apple MacBook serial number and some contact information, but no payment is necessary to place an order request. Axiotron Modservice starts at just $1,579 — a fraction of the cost of a brand new Modbook.
	*Some restrictions apply. The aluminum MacBook and MacBook Pro are not eligible for conversion. Axiotron does not guarantee that every Apple MacBook can be converted into an Axiotron Modbook.
